  • Identify the application characteristics that distinguish self-consolidating concrete from standard concrete, such as the lack of the need for vibratory tools and other forms of finishing labor, and the ability to have fewer pour points.
  • Explain why self-consolidating concrete easily pours past congested reinforcement and rebar, and how this impacts jobsite noise and labor costs
  • Describe suitable types of uses for SCC concrete in commercial, residential and institutional construction, such as floors and walls
  • Discuss appropriate testing procedures for SCC to ensure safe structural design.
