Gypsum Division MEP Development Program

The Manufacturing Engineering Professional (MEP) Development program is a development track for new engineering graduates designed to advance their safety, technical, problem-solving, and management skills through a maximum of 36 months of structured training, coaching, and on-the-job learning experiences over four distinct areas.

 

MEP Development Program Overview

The MEP Development Program is a structured orientation of the plant and its function. Goals and objectives are clearly defined as a tool to guide the development process. Training includes assignments within other plants and coaching with technical experts and encourages cross-training projects in other departments.

 

MEP Characteristics:

The following characteristics describe the candidate best suited for the MEP Development Program:

 

  • Bachelors or Masters:
    • Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred
    • Industrial, Civil, or Mining may also be considered
  • MBA desirable
  • Willingness to relocate required
  • Interest in management
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
  • Industrial/manufacturing internship strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership desirable
  • Foreign languages a plus
