Gaylord National Resort Hotel and Convention Center
Frederick Figall, Assoc. AIA

Gaylord National Resort Hotel and Convention Center, the cornerstone of the exciting new National Harbor in Prince George's County, Maryland, on the banks of the historic Potomac River. The spectacular 18-story atrium offers wonderful views of the Potomac River and Old Town Alexandria, with a fountain and a river meandering through the multi-level indoor gardens.  With moisture from the fountain and river inside the resort and the resort on the river, it was imperative that a mold resistant board be installed in the atrium, lobby areas, the guest rooms and hallways.  Lafarge Mold Defense was chosen and installed.

Lafarge Weather Defense Platinum Interior

Helping New Florida Home Achieve LEED Platinum

In pursuit of becoming certified LEED® Platinum and net-zero, this green home in Miami Beach, Florida is using Lafarge Weather Defense® Platinum Interior drywall throughout its construction.  Even though using Lafarge drywall may not take this home off the grid, by being produced with synthetic gypsum within 500 miles of the project site, it will help earn LEED credits for regional and recycled materials putting the homeowner and builder closer to their sustainability goals.
