Manhole Material

Product Overview

Lafarge's precast concrete manholes provide an access point to underground utilities, including sewers and storm drains. They are used for making connections between runs of pipe or performing maintenance on this infrastructure. Manholes are structures outfitted with steps to allow for ease of descent and ascent, and are protected by manhole covers that are available in a variety of sizes and designs.

Manhole Variations

  • Prebenched Manholes - Made-to-order prebenched manholes are available at all Lafarge Pipe locations for Standard 1200mm diameter
  • Large Diameter Manholes - For larger pipe connections, large diameter manhole material is available up to 3,000mm. Please use the large diameter sizing chart located on this page for sizing recommendations.
  • Vertical Box Sections - Standard box sections can be oriented vertically to provide connection solutions with a minimal footprint
  • Big Box Manholes - Unique to Lafarge for projects in Western Canada, an adjustable box manhole form produces box manholes ranging from 0.5m to 4.0m in internal span in 0.5m increments. Lafarge Big Box manholes provide a precast alternative to cast-in-place projects for large sized infrastructure.
