New Website to Provide Timely News and Information for the Exshaw Cement Plant

Exshaw, AB
Lafarge Canada Inc.

Lafarge Canada Inc. has launched a new website designed to provide the community with more information about its Exshaw cement plant operations. The new website, launched last week, can be found through the Lafarge North America site or directly at:

The new site will include:

  • Expansion and construction updates
  • News articles about our plant
  • Our history and product details
  • Our environmental initiatives, including our air and noise monitoring reports
  • Details on our community outreach activities, including an application form for those seeking support

"Communication is important to us," says Heinz Knopfel, Plant Manager, Lafarge Exshaw. "We have had a Lafarge North America site for a long time but we wanted to provide our neighbors in the Bow Valley with a quicker access to information on our operations in Exshaw."

According to Knopfel, launching this site is important because the company is just beginning work on its expansion and wants to provide timely access to news and information about the work they are doing.
Lafarge is encouraging people to visit the new site and provide feedback. Questions, comments and suggestions for the site can be sent to .
