The Tulsa Cement Plant

The Tulsa cement plant, located at Apache and 145th East Avenue, has been in operation since 1961. In 2001, Lafarge North America Inc. purchased the plant from Blue Circle and it is currently one of 19 owned and operated across the U.S. and Canada.
Lafarge is strives to be a good neighbor and contribute to the economic and social development of the local communities surrounding our sites. Nearly 100% of the Tulsa Cement Plant’s materials, services, and products are purchased and sold in the State of Oklahoma. The total impact of Tulsa Cement Plant’s output on the local economy has been estimated at $106 million by the Tulsa Metro Chamber. This figure includes the $10 million to the local economy through payroll to 120 employees in the Tulsa area, as well as local, county and state taxes and indirect jobs and business.
The Oklahomans who work to create and deliver innovative materials that bring safety, comfort and beauty to our state and our region are the true living assets of the Tulsa Plant, where employee safety is our number one priority. In fact, the Tulsa Plant has an outstanding safety record: three years without a lost time accident.
