Lafarge Fire Watercheck® is specifically designed as a fire-resistant tile backer for shower and bath areas, although it may also be desired for non-tile applications. The board has a non-combustible gypsum core that is enhanced with glass fibers to offer greater strength and fire protection and with a wax emulsion for superior moisture protection.
