Pozzolite

Lafarge Pozzolite offers concrete masonry block manufacturers numerous performance advantages, including increased early and late strengths, improved workability, reduced shrinkage and breakage, and uniform block density.

Pozzolite can be used as an economical substitute for a portion of the portland cement used in block manufacturing.  Depending on products and curing methods, up to 30% substitution has been achieved.  Pozzolite can be used in the production of normal-weight block, light-weight block, and concrete pavers.  These concrete masonry units can be used in residential or commercial work, above or below grade.

Pozzolite offers performance and value and conforms to Sec 4.3 of ASTM C 90, “Standard Specification for Loadbearing Concrete Masonry Units”.  Actual performance is dependent on customer’s specific mix, aggregates, portland cement, and curing conditions.

Product claims are based on proper use in accordance with recognized industry standards.  Please contact your Lafarge Cement representative for specific product information, availability and ordering.
