Soil remediation
Solidification, or soil drying, refers to the process of changing a highly flowable, compressible or semi-solid soil to a material having higher cohesion and compressive strength.
Stabilization refers to the addition of a chemical agent to the soil in order to encapsulate organic contaminants and to reduce their mobility.
Solidification and stabilization can be accomplished by blending various Lafarge products into the soil. The choice of which products to use will depend on the nature and the chemical composition of the soil.
